Who's Going To Lexington?

Post by Last Dime » Tue Apr 17, 2018 4:05 pm

The Tournament Committee is trying to make a decision and your reply is very important. This question is for skippers who were considering going to the Lexington Tournament. Given the current weather forecasts for the weekend, who is still planning on going?
Please reply to this post either way going or not.

My original reason for posting the question was out of concern that skippers were considering not going to Lexington because of weather forecasts, wind conditions, etc. A couple of the regular attendies were not going and I didn't know what other skippers were thinking. But the good news is that boats will be showing up and the tournament will go on. The tournament co-chairs, myself(funeral in Kalkaska) and Bob Feisel(concerns with the weather) will not be in attendance. The Port Captain Dan Chisholm will oversee the tournament and be the sole authority; making any decisions about fishing with regards to weather, scoring, rule interpretations etc. Please give Dan plenty of assistance at the weigh-in, weighing fish, tallying scores and anything else he may need a hand with. As usual, Dan has a great luncheon planned following the tournament.

From phone calls & this post, there are at least 5 boats planning on attending plus 3 or 4 others that we have not received an answer from who were planning on attending from a show of hands at last month's meeting. So it could be a good turnout and I hope the fishing is as good as reports have been. Be safe, stay warm and good luck to all!

50 degrees by noon, partly cloudy, and 0-5mph winds. Forecast looks good to me. I may have room for one more on the Mako. See you in Lexington.
